SSL certificate checks

The SSL certificate checks feature allows you to monitor the current validity and expiration date of an SSL/TLS certificate.

To modify the settings for SSL certificate checks on a monitor, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Monitors section.
  • Select the desired monitor.
  • Click on Configure in the headline.
  • Navigate to Advanced settings:
    • To enable SSL/TLS verification for the monitored URL's security certificates, set the SSL/TLS verification dropdown to On.

Note

The SSL/TLS verification is performed together with the main check, so the frequency is the same as the monitor's check frequency settings.

To adjust the certificate expiry monitoring, select your preferred monitoring timeframe.

WARNING

Please note that changing the settings for SSL expiration will automatically update the SSL expiration settings for all monitors associated with this domain in your team. Take this into consideration when making any modifications.

Note

The SSL expiration is checked every hour, so it may take up to an hour for an SSL expiration incident to automatically resolve.

TIP

By configuring the SSL certificate checks, you can ensure the security and validity of SSL/TLS certificates used by the monitored URLs.

Note

Please note that the specific configuration options and available monitoring timeframes may vary depending on the monitoring tool or platform you are using.
